Dongola Bridge
Description:
Dongola Bridge is one of the major projects ubdertaken by Ministry of Dams and Bridges to develop the northern regions of Sudan. The bridge will act as an
important link within the roads network starting at Port Sudan on the Red Sea Coast passing through El Sileim across the Nile from Dongola and extending northwards to the Wadi Halfa area near the border with Egypt and connecting to Shiryan Al Shamal Highway leading to Omdurman.

Superstructure: Prestressed Concrete girders with cast-in-place reinforced concrete deck
