Al-Damar Bridge

Al-Damar Bridge is one of the major projects undertaken by the Ministry of Dams and Bridges to develop the northern regions of Sudan. The Minister of Dams and Bridges has a potential plan to build more dams in the Nile State and Northern State, which would greatly develop the region. The bridge will act as an important link within the road network, starting at Port Sudan on the Red Sea Coast, passing through Aldamar, crossing the Nile, and extending northwards to the Wadi Halfa area near the border with Egypt.
