Administrative Assistant:

A&A is seeking a detail oriented administrative assistant with a solid work history of office experience and who has marketing,
proposal writing or graphic software experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a desire to be a team player. Hours for this position will be 40 a week, Monday through Friday, 8am -5pm.


Certified Welding Inspectors:

Current openings for several experienced Certified Welding inspectors.
This individual will be involved with on-going inspection projects.

Major job duties include:

* Inspection of welding activities located at various Fabrication sites within the various PennDot districts;
* Documenting and recording daily work records using browser based inspection software.
* Verifying work done on the project
* Performing other related duties as required

Job requirements and qualifications:

Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Verification - NDT quality assurance consists of verifying that NDT is being performed in accordance with the contract requirements and the required industry standards. Must have a thorough understanding of the type of NDT that is being performed, such as MT, PT, RT, UT and VT according to SNT-TC-1A Recommended Practice. Testing verification will be properly documented and reported to the client.

Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Services - certified in accordance to SNT-TC-1A to perform *Level II *MT, PT, UT, VT and Radiographic Interpretation.

* Excellent communication skills.

Standard work week is M-F, daytime construction hours. Occasional overtime may be required.


Construction Inspectors:

Current openings for several experienced Construction Inspector/Supervisor/Manager with PennDOT projects.
This individual will be involved with road/highway/bridge inspection projects.

Major job duties include:

* Inspection of road/highway/bridge projects in PennDot districts;
* Documenting and recording daily work records;
* Verifying work done on the project
* Performing other related duties as required

Job requirements and qualifications:

* 2+ years experience with road/highway/bridge projects;

* Candidates must possess NICET, ACI or PennDot Concrete certifications;
* Excellent communication skills.

Standard work week is M-F, daytime construction hours. Occasional overtime may be required.


Civil Engineer:

We are currently looking for an entry level civil engineer. This entry level position will provide project support for environmental,
geotechnical, roadway, bridge inspection or other civil projects currently being worked on in the Civil engineering unit.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
* 0-2 years of experience in the design of highways and roads, or other related civil engineering projects;
* EIT preferred;
* All candidates will have proficiency in basic MS Office software
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Familiarity with the field's concepts, practices and procedures
* Proficiency in Microstation and/or AutoCAD.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.


Bridge Engineer:

General requirements:

* This position will provide the energy necessary to motivate staff and achieve goals;
* Follow project delivery procedures and standards in compliance with client and division-specific guidelines;
* Contribute to the preparation of proposals on behalf of the bridge engineering group;
* Coordinate project resources and project deliverables to meet client needs;
* Participate in the development of reports, analysis and project presentations;
* Meet defined project schedule and deliverables;
* Deliver projects within client budgets;
* Inform management of problems/issues in a timely fashion;
* Calculate quantities and develop construction cost estimates;
* Prepare calculations to support bridge, culvert, and wall designs, etc;
* Utilize design software to support designs;
* Prepare cost estimates for structure designs;
* Perform field site views to support marketing efforts;
* Prepare contract and project specifications;
* Assist with marketing and client maintenance.

Qualifications:

* 5+ years experience as a Bridge Engineer;
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structures;
* P.E. license in Pennsylvania;
* Working knowledge of Microstation CAD or AutoCad, Microsoft Office software;
* Experience with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (DOT) Bridge design
* Experience with the PennDOT project development process;
* Experience performing bridge safety inspections and prepare inspection reports;
* PADOT/PENNDOT bridge design standards, policies and procedures experience is HIGHLY desired

Experience with any of the following is also HIGHLY desired:

* PennDOT software (PSLRFD, STLRFD, BOXLRFD, BPLRFD, SPLRFD, etc.)
* STAAD PRO or other general analysis software o BSDI3D or other 3D finite element software;

* Follow project delivery procedures and standards in compliance with client and contribute to the preparation of proposals on behalf of the division, market segment and technical discipline
* Assist the development of reports, analysis and project presentations;
* Inform management of problems/issues in a timely fashion;
* Calculate quantities and develop construction cost estimates;
* Prepare calculations to support bridge, culvert, and wall designs;
* Utilize design software to support designs:
* Prepare cost estimates for structure designs:
* Perform field site views to support marketing efforts:
* Prepare contract and project specifications:
* Assist with marketing and client maintenance:
* Look for opportunities for marketing and client rapport;

Required Skills:

* Qualifications:
* 8-15 years experience as a Senior Bridge Engineer;
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structures;
* P.E. license;
* Working knowledge of Microstation CAD and Microsoft Office software;
* Experience with Department of Transportation (DOT) Bridge design;
* Experience with the PennDOT project development process
* Experience performing bridge safety inspections and prepare inspection reports.



Cadd Operator:

As part of a design team, develop graphics and illustrations for use in technical materials, manuals, and publications. Operate computer hardware and software to prepare, revise, print, and store text, illustrations, graphs, and charts. Formulate concepts and render illustrations and details from models, sketches, memory, written or oral instructions, and imagination. Apply experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation and possess knowledge of the type, draw lettering, and lay out material and perform related duties. Determine the style, technique, and medium best suited to produce preferred effects. Conform with reproduction requirements or follow specific instructions regarding these variables.

Job requirements and qualifications:

-2 + years of experience as an AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation operator
-HS diploma or GED required

Additional Qualifications:
-Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAP Studio, and Archibus
-BA or BS degree
